The 2023 AFCON runners-up will be heading into the match, beating Rwanda 1-0 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, while South Africa defeated neighbours Lesotho 3-0, per ESPN.

A win for Nigeria means the country will play in the World Cup after their 1-1 draw against the Black Stars of Ghana at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in 2022, missing the tournament in Qatar.

Meanwhile, Tunisia and Morocco have qualified for the tournament jointly hosted by 16 cities in three North American countries, per CAF.
