Senator Elisha Abbo Embarks On 31-day Fast for next political move, “I am no longer moved by sight”

Yola, Adamawa state - Former Adamawa North senator, Elisha Abbo, has embarked on a 31-day fasting and prayer exercise for God’s guidance on his next political move.

Abbo said he defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) without seeking divine guidance.

He declared that he has changed his strategy to follow God's direction by fasting and praying for 31 days.

Abbo made this known via his X handle @SenatorAbbo on Friday, August 29, 2025.

“In 2020, I left PDP to APC without praying and asking for God's direction on which party to join. I left due to tangible reasons and raw instincts, and joined APC out of human judgment and to flow with the tide.
“This time around, I undertaken a 31-day fast and prayers seeking for direction, among other things, I asked God to do for me

Senator Abbo May Contest in 2027 Election

There is growing speculation that Senator Abbo will contest for the office of governor in the 2027 Adamawa state election.
