Two Ministers Under Tinubu Gets International Recognition, Names Released

DOlusegun, Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Social Media, has publicly commended the President and his Federal Executive Council (FEC) following the inclusion of two cabinet members in TIME magazine’s prestigious TIME100 lists.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on 27 August, DOlusegun wrote:

What to know about the two ministers?

Dr Muhammad Ali Pate, Nigeria’s Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, was named in TIME100 Health 2025 for his leadership in public health reform and global health advocacy.

He is believed to have played a role in strengthening healthcare systems and advancing equitable access to medical services.

Dr Bosun Tijani, Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, earned a spot on TIME100 AI 2025 for championing Nigeria’s National AI Strategy and promoting inclusive technological development. His efforts have been reported to have mobilised over 120 Nigerian experts and secured partnerships with global tech leaders to scale AI solutions in key sectors like education, agriculture, and healthcare.

Tinubu defends foreign trips

In a post shared on his official page on X, Tinubu, after returning from visits to Japan and Brazil, said every handshake and agreement abroad was aimed at securing opportunities that translate into growth, jobs and prosperity for Nigerians.

He highlighted new ties in Japan that will bring investment in industry, technology and human capital, and fresh partnerships in Brazil across trade, agriculture, aviation and finance. Tinubu added that despite ongoing challenges, his government is building what he calls a “new Nigeria” based on sustainable reforms, confident abroad, resilient at home, and outlive his administration.
