The comments emerged when the actor’s remains reached his hometown for a wake that preceded his funeral.

The lady, identified on X as @Esther_stan, criticised the leader’s decision to share what she considered private information.
She expressed the view that such details ought not to have been broadcast widely.
Her reaction attracted attention online as many users engaged with the discussion.
The late Alexx Ekubo’s body arrived in his hometown on Wednesday, 17 June, for a wake ahead of a funeral that had already taken place.
The procession paused at the palace of the Eze Aro of Arochukwu, the traditional ruler of the actor’s community in Abia State.
At that point, the monarch offered prayers over the coffin. During the prayer session, the traditional ruler asked that Alexx Ekubo’s family line should continue.
He mentioned that information had reached him suggesting the actor’s wife was expecting a child.
He then prayed that the unborn child would achieve greater things than the father, who had been well known during his lifetime.
There was no confirmation from Alexx Ekubo’s relatives regarding the pregnancy claim at the time.
Despite the lack of verification, the traditional ruler’s statement gave encouragement to many Nigerians.
Across various social media platforms, people expressed positive feelings and relief following his remarks.
However, it also drew criticism from those who felt sensitive personal matters should remain undisclosed.
