To the surprise of many Nigerians back home, she was able to pick up a significant variety of items, including:

  • Chicken breast and multiple chicken legs (laps).
  • Fresh ginger and garlic.
  • A large quantity of fresh chili peppers.
  • Green beans.
  • A pack of eggs.

Initially, her total came to just 13.17 RMB (approx. N2,600). Determined to use the full N4,000, she went back to the meat section to add more chicken.

Narrating her story in the TikTok video, she said:

"I went back for more chicken because I’m making pepper chicken, so let the chicken be much. So I added two more chicken legs. I went to weigh it and then... it is now above my budget with just 1 Yuan. But I was like no, don’t worry, I know what to do. I can fix this. I went back and I kept one chicken—the one that is big—and replaced it with a smaller size because what? I am smart. So what do you expect? I went back and I weighed it, and this time around, it is within our budget: 20.69 RMB."
