The lady, who shared a video of a dilapidated apartment, said she was taken aback by the N1 million rent demanded for the property.
She took to her account @Janet SO on TikTok, to display a house in a bad state, with algae-covered walls and a poor road leading to the location.

While sharing the video online, she expressed her shock at the high rent, considering the condition of the apartment.
In her words:
"POV: Lagos agent took you to inspect apartment of N1 million. HOUSE HUNTING IN LAGOS|Episode 1. If you think your rent is expensive, wait till you see what I saw. I’m talking 1M for a house with algae growing on the walls. Green wallpaper we didn’t ask for, landlords with audacity, and my sanity hanging by a thread."

Commenting on the story, a Nigerian architect, Donald Onye, shared his professional opinion, stating that the design of the house is not really worth N1 million rent.
"I have seen houses going for N1 million and this doesn't come close to it. No part of the house looks attractive for that amount," he said.
