According to the story he shared on his page, @peng_writer, he was allowed to take part in the test, but what followed was the most unexpected part of his experience.

The Nigerian man explained that a person he knows had recommended him for the role.

After applying and being scheduled for the interview, he chose to wear Ankara, hoping it would set him apart. Instead, he was kept separate from the other candidates and delayed.

He said:

"Wore Ankara to a banking test because I wanted to feel unique to other aspirants. They kept me separate and delayed my own interview. Probably contemplating whether to allow me or just throw me out."

Eventually, he was allowed to write the test, but he revealed:

"I was allowed to do the interview but I didn't even get a response."

Reflecting on the impact on his relationship with the person who recommended him, he added:

"The Ẹ̀gbọ́n that recommended me used 3 years to beef me."

Despite the setback, he remains motivated, saying, "Good thing is it attracted me to banking job and I will still do it."

As he shared his experience on social media, many people found his story compelling and flocked to the comment section to share their thoughts.

After receiving a job offer elsewhere, he decided to turn down the interview in style.
