UNILAG Best Graduating Student with 5.0 CGPA Gets Master’s Scholarship to 3 Abroad Universities
- One of the best graduating students of the University of Lagos, Samuel Badekale, announced his Master’s scholarship to study in three European countries

- He showed the mail from the scholarship organisers and revealed that he was the only West African selected for the scholarship
Samuel Badekale, who emerged as one of the best graduating students of the University of Lagos in its 2025 convocation, has secured a Master’s scholarship to three universities in three foreign countries.
The graduate of Cell Biology and Genetics got a 5.0 CGPA, alongside his co-best graduating student, Damilare Haroun Adebakin.

On his X page, @SBadekale celebrated as he announced his scholarship and gave details about his latest achievement.
He showed the mail from the scholarship organisers and revealed that he was the only West African selected for the scholarship
The X post read:
“2025 has been amazing in every way! Pleased to announce the next step in my journey: selected as the only Nigerian & West African for the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s in Biomembranes — studying across three world-class universities in France, Italy & Germany.
“Over the next two years, l'Il be studying across three world-class universities: Université Côte d'Azur in France, @UniGenova in ltaly, and @UniOsnabrueck in Germany where l'Il be exploring three cutting-edge fields: Membrane Biology Neuroscience and Experimental Medicine.
“As look back,l see a young boy from Mushin, with a big dream: to explore the world and make a positive impact on the world. And today, by God's faithfulness, that dream is gradually becoming a reality. Truly, "with God, every dream is achievable, even those that seem impossible."
He added:
“Education isn't a scam. It's a weapon. Use it.”
