Katsina state - Alhaji Abdulmumin Kabir Usman, Emir of Katsina's daughter, Khadijah Abdulmumin Kabir Usman, has been declared dead.
The late Khadija, aged 35, was also popularly called Andijo.

Gov Radda, traditional rulers attend funeral prayer
The funeral prayer was led by Imam Mustapha Gambo. The funeral prayer took place at the Emir’s residence in Katsina state and was attended by hundreds of sympathisers.
This includes: Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, traditional rulers, government officials, and members of the community, Daily Trust reported.

The governor further asked Allah to protect the three children she left behind.
Muazu A Nas, aide to the governor, posted via X:
"His presence reaffirmed solidarity with the Katsina Emirate and brought comfort to the grieving family."
Speaking during the funeral, the Katsina governor, Radda, sadly described the late Khadijah as a caring mother.
He added that she was a symbol of peace whose life touched many around her, The Cable reported.
Katsina: Gov Radda loses mother
Legit.ng earlier reported that Dikko Umar Radda, governor of Katsina state, lost his mother, Hajia Safara'u Radda.
Isah Miqdad, Radda's former aide on digital media, announced the sad news via his known X handle on Sunday morning, March 23.
In the same vein, a statement by Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the chief press secretary (CPS) to Governor Radda, disclosed this on Sunday, March 23.

The statement partly reads:
“With profound sadness, the Government of Katsina State announces the passing of Hajiya Safara’u Umaru Baribari, the beloved mother of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda.
“Hajiya Safara’u departed this world last night at the blessed age of 93. She was a woman of remarkable strength and dignity with wisdom flowed from decades of lived experience.
“Beyond being the mother of Governor Radda, Hajiya Safara’u nurtured generations of leaders and community pillars. Her children include the current Village Head of Radda, Alhaji Kabir Umar Radda, and Hajiya Hauwa Umar Radda, former wife of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua."
Katsina Hisbah declares total ban on nightclubs
Previously, Legit.ng reported that the Katsina state Hisbah board issued a statewide ban on nightclub activities, emphasising the need to uphold religious and societal values.
Commander-General of the Hisbah Board, Aminu Usman (Abu Ammar), made the announcement in a statement. According to Usman, the decision was made to curb behaviours deemed immoral, protect societal norms, and address security concerns across Katsina state.
He further explained that the Commissioner for Internal Security and other law enforcement agencies, such as the Nigerian Army, Police, and others, had been notified to facilitate compliance. At the time, Hisbah also warned that individuals with unconventional hairstyles would be monitored and necessary actions taken against them.
