Tragedy as Armed Robbers Stab Bauchi Poly Student To Death

Bauchi state - Suspected robbers have stabbed a student of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi, has been stabbed to death.
The National Diploma II Mass Communication student was stabbed during an attempted robbery at an off-campus residence around 2:40 a.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025.

As reported by Channels Television, an eyewitness said the two attackers gained access to the residence by scaling the back fence while carrying bright torchlights.
The female student residing in the compound said eight students of the institution reside in the building.
“The robbers barged into one of the rooms where two male students were watching a movie. The students tried to resist them, but unfortunately, one of them was stabbed during the struggle.”
The eyewitness said the student was confirmed dead due to excessive bleeding after he was rushed to the hospital.
The state Commissioner of Police, Sani-Omolori Aliyu, and Rector of the institution visited the crime scene.
“We have arrested some suspects in connection with the crime, and we will leave no stone unturned in getting to the root of the matter.”
Aliyu stated that more police personnel have been deployed to the area.
This is coming less than two weeks after male students were attacked in their hostel during a robbery at the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi.
The robbery incident led to a protest by the students.
Pandemonium as man allegedly stabs lover to death
Recall that operatives of the Rivers state police command arrested a man simply identified as ‘Doctor’ in Mile 1 Diobu axis of Port Harcourt.
The suspect was arrested for allegedly stabbing his female lover to death over allegations of infidelity.

Commercial sex worker stabs client to death
In a similar story, Legit.ng reported that a 48-year-old man identified simply as Okafor was stabbed to death by a sex worker at Jakande Housing Estate in Lekki, Lagos.
The state police public relations officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, said the sex worker, Joy Kelvin, was arrested.
According to Hundeyin, Okafor was rushed to the General Hospital, Marina, Lagos, where he was pronounced dead by the doctor on duty.
