President Muhammadu Buhari warmly felicitates with the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Muhammad Mamman Nami on his 55th birthday, praising him for making commendable efforts to raise government revenues, especially at this time of great need.
President Buhari notes that the leadership and guidance of Nami has repositioned operations and staff of the agency, using technological tools to institute far more transparency, accountability, and effectiveness, which has, in turn, translated into the increased capacity to deliver on mandate with results manifestly seen.
The president commends the Executive Chairman for bringing many years of experience in financial services to bear on the foremost tax regulator, with a growing impact on the economy, especially as the government expands and prioritizes infrastructure development.

Meanwhile, Buhari said he reappointed Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi as Director General of National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA, due to the agency's remarkable successes.
Buhari made the disclosure in his address at the launch of the National Policy on the Nigerian Government Second-Level Domains and National Data Strategy in State House, Abuja.
The President said following the evaluation of parastatals under the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, he observed NITDA's outstanding execution in different areas of its mandate.
Buhari highlighted his administration's commitment to diversification of the economy through development of policies, design of programmes, and implementation of projects in the digital economy sector since 2019.

A statement by CNG spokesperson, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, made available to Legit.ng, described the insistence of the CBN governor on a short deadline for the naira swap and limit for cash withdrawal as insensitive, irrational, unthoughtful and a clear recipe for disaster.
