Reality show star Venita Akpofure is heartbroken over the death of Arise TV anchor Sommie Maduagwu.

The media personality tragically passed away after robbers stormed her residence in Abuja, and videos and tweets about her began to emerge after her death.

In a post on X, Akpofure emotionally mourned Sommie’s passing. She shared that she had been crying since hearing the news and revealed that Sommie was her cousin and God-sister from childhood.

Venita added that she was the one who babysat Sommie when she was small, and she shared a love emoji to celebrate her life.

Venita shares Sommie’s old message to her

In her post, the reality star who spoke about TIV people a few years ago shared an old message Sommie had posted on X a few years ago.

In the tweet, Sommie had stated that Venita was her God-sister and that she would never change her opinion of Venita, despite what others were saying.

Furthermore, in the tweet, Sommie also mentioned that, while she did not like the BBNaija "ships," she couldn’t tolerate anything against her God-sister.
