Baba Suwe passed away on 22 November 2021 at the age of 63.
Taking to her X account, Halimat painted a picture of how different his birthday felt without him.
"Happy posthumous birthday, Daddy. Today feels so different, no crowd, no jollof rice, no you in your new shirt," she wrote.
Baba Suwe's Chilling Prediction Before Death
Beyond the birthday tribute, Halimat made a startling disclosure that her father had told her he was going to die, but she dismissed it at the time, believing he was not being serious.
"Someone asked if Daddy ever told me he was going to die. Yes, he did. Two days before, he told me, but I laughed it off. I thought he was joking," she recalled.
The very next day, she received an urgent call asking her to return home because his condition had worsened significantly.
When she arrived, Baba Suwe could no longer communicate.
"He couldn't talk anymore, and an hour later, he passed," she said.
Halimat also expressed deep regret that she had not made the most of the time she had with him. She wished she had embraced him more firmly during that final conversation, now knowing what it would mean.
