According to a statement by the presidential spokesperson, Mr. Femi Adesina, Bayero has been directed to hand over the management of the NPA and all government property in his possession to Mr. Habibu Abdullahi who has been reinstated as managing director of the NPA by Buhari. The President also wished Bayero well in his future endeavours. Alhaji Ado Bayero is the eldest son of the late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero.

It would be recalled that about three months ago, former president Goodluck Jonathan sacked Mallam Habib Abdullahi from the said position while he appointed Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Ado Bayero to take his place.
