Jonathan And Buhari In Closed Door Meeting

President-elect, retired General Muhammadu Buhari and President Goodluck Jonathan met behind closed doors on Friday at the State House, Abuja.

The meeting, which security officials said was strictly private, held at the New Banquet Hall of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa.

This was the first time Buhari of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) and Jonathan of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) would meet after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) certified the former as winner of presidential election.

It is believed that the meeting is supposed toaddress the hand-over transition ceremony of President Jonathan's regime to the incoming Buhari regime.

President Jonathan had since congratulated Buhari on his victory.
