The national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, seems not to be through with attaining academic heights.
Tinubu on Saturday, April 24, got an honourary doctorate degree of science in management from the Federal University of Agriculture, Markudi in Benue state.
The conferment of the honour was done the vice-chancellor of the school, Professor Anande Richard Kimbir and its registrar, Helen Nyitse.
The former Lagos governor's latest academic achievement was shared on his Twitter page on Saturday.
"The registrar, Helen Nyitse; Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; & VC Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State, Prof. Anande Richard Kimbir, during the conferment of the Honorary Degree Doctor of Science in Management at the University, today."
The event was attended by the minister of state for petroleum resources, Timipre Sylva and the former governor of Adamawa state, Admiral Murtala Nyako.
Meanwhile, Tinubu had said that the choice of Kano state as a venue for his 12th colloquium was to establish the fact that the Fulanis and Yoruba people could co-exist in love and peace.
Speaking at the event which also marked his 69th birthday, the APC stalwart said his choice of Kano as a celebration venue stemmed from a longing to unite the two ethnic groups.
Tinubu said Nigeria at this critical time needed such a move as this to see if other people would have peace of conscience, live in harmony and be lovely to one another.
The former governor of Lagos state said he and Governor Abdullahi Ganduje were trying to show to Nigerians that some of the agitations rocking the country at this time were misplaced.
