Bruno Fernandes is reportedly refusing to sign a new deal worth £200,000-a-week with Man United unless they boost their transfer plans, Daily Mail.

The Portuguese star is United's stand-out player of the season and the club are looking to tying down his future at the Theatre of Dreams for the next five years.

However, reports claim the 26-year-old wants to get assurances about their future transfer plans before he signs on the dotted lines.

Fernandes has scored 22 goals from midfield in all competitions for United so far this season and netted the opener in the famous win against Man City.

The Red Devils are 11 points behind City and will need Fernandes to continue his scoring form to increase their chances of catching their neighbours.

The Portugal international is also a strong contender for the Premier League Player of the Year with ten games left to play.
