He is the second born child in a family of three children. His father was a dentist who served in the military while his mother's career is not revealed. His mother died in the year 2002 from breast cancer.
Having been raised Southern Baptist, Denton became a minister of music at Westmoreland United Methodist Church in Westmoreland, Tennessee.
Education
Denton attended Goodlettsville High School. He later on attended the University of Tennessee, where he majored in Television/Journalism and earned a degree in Advertising.
Career
An acting career was never Denton's first choice. Despite having a degree in Advertising, he discovered that his true passion does not lie in the profession he studied for.
He began his acting career at the age of 23 years old at a network theatre in Nashville. He later on moved to California, where he became a full-time on-screen character.
Denton has appeared in several movies since then and has made his acting career an appealing one.
