The love of money is said to be the root of all evil. But many people will disagree with this maxim and would rather say that greed, not love is the root of all evil.

No matter what you want to accept concerning the maxim above, an innocent man, Abuchi Wisdom Nwachukwu, has lost his life after he showed his account balance to his colleague.

The money in the account which was meant for the completion of his elder brother's house.

The brother who resides in South Africa had reportedly sent about N13m to his brother to help him complete his housing project back home in Nigeria.

When Moses saw the balance, he was alleged to have killed his friend Nwachukwu in other to lay hands on the money.

According to The Nation, Nwachukwu, a native of Isiala-Mbano, Imo State, was hacked to death on January 7, 2020, during a night shift at the table water company where they worked in Auchi, Edo state, after which he took possession of Nwachukwu’s phone and ATM card.

Moses also mutilated Nwachukwu’s lifeless body so that it would be recognized, dumping the headless body in a bush close to the company.

He was alleged to have also withdrawn N2.2 million from Nwachukwu’s account with the help of some internet fraudsters.

After some months of not knowing his whereabouts, his South Africa based brother was said to have written a petition to the Inspector General of Police, Adamu Mohammed and after weeks of investigation, he was arrested in a hotel in Auchi where he was hiding.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that a Nigerian man identified on Twitter as @IamTytanium has taken to the microblogging site to mourn his father who died of COVID-19.

According to @IamTytanium, he lost his father to COVID-19 on Wednesday, July 15. He said the deceased was a great man who was his role model.

The bereaved went on to disclose that his father left a heavy load for him to carry by virtue of his death but he will not break in the course of carrying it.
