Naira Marley and Marlians featured as compulsory question in UNILORIN exam

Examinations in university settings are usually not about testing the knowledge of students about a course alone, but trying to see how students can apply the knowledge garnered through the period of undertaking the course to real life issues.
Perhaps, this was what inspired a lecturer in the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) to test the knowledge of his students using controversial rapper Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley.
A photo of a question paper of an examination that was conducted in the department of mass performing arts in the university recently was recently shared on social media by an individual identified as @tundexmania.
According to the individual, the question popped up in his examination for his master’s program.

A look at the questions that were set in the test paper shows that one of the compulsory question to be answered by students was about the music star.
"Write a play-let to support the inherent paradox of the post-colonial culture of Naira Marley and Marlians," the question read.

In a related university examination story, Legit.ng gathered the report of a lecturer who left his students stunned after he included an option for them to set their own examination questions.
