The religious adviser to the president of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has adopted prayer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM).
According to the Washington Post, Pastor Paula White caused a stir with her new firebrand prayers, a professor of theological studies at Concordia University, André Gagné said was linked to the MFM - a Nigerian-based church founded by Daniel Olukoya.
It was gathered that White now freely dishes out her new firebrand prayers as campaigns for the country's presidential election which is scheduled to take place this year.
In a video of a sermon posted by the liberal advocacy group Right Wing Watch, White, was seen breathlessly calling on Jesus Christ to “command all satanic pregnancies to miscarry right now.”
She prayed: “We declare that anything that’s been conceived in satanic wombs, that it will miscarry, it will not be able to carry forth any plan of destruction, any plan of harm."
Speaking against any marine spirit of operations of the marine kingdom, White said: "We declare that any strange winds - any strange winds that have been sent to hurt the church, sent against this nation, sent against our president, sent against myself, sent against others - we break it by the superior blood of Jesus right now.”
It was also noted that the clip which was just under two minutes long, had been viewed for over 2.5 million times.
Interpreting most of her declarations literally, some people have said that the televangelist wishes for evil women to have miscarriages, however, sharing a response to the interpretation, White explained that she was speaking in metaphor, praying for evil plans to be foiled in her congregants’ lives.
Also explaining further, Professor Gagné disclosed the origin of the prayers.
Gagné pointing to a book by Nigerian evangelist D.K. Olukoya said Stanic pregnancies are plans that Satan has against a person’s life.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that MFM had denied reports that the church had the largest number of unmarried girls across Nigeria.
The spokesperson for the church said in the past decade, the MFM has been able to conduct over 150,000 weddings.
