Former homeless black single mum of 1 now owns successful restaurant

Five years ago, Brooke Coleman’s life was that of harsh reality as she struggled with homelessness as a pregnant single mother.

However, she clinched to hope, kept her dream alive and determined to make it in life.

Brooke Coleman successfully opened her very own restaurant called Stuffed Enuff in Dayton, Ohio, in 2019 with tons of positive feedback from her clients.

Prior to becoming an accomplished business owner, she went through unimaginable tough times.

"One night I looked at my family and decided I was never going to be in that situation again. I knew if I worked hard, I would never have to go back to that shelter," Brooke Coleman told Dayton.com.

Coleman decided to enroll in Sinclair Community College's culinary arts program.

After receiving the necessary training, she started a small catering operation where she became known as "Chef B".

After some time, Coleman grabbed the opportunity to open her own restaurant.

It was appropriately named Stuffed Enuff since most items on the menu can be stuffed with a variety of ingredients.

The restaurant also offers chicken wings with a choice of 8 dips. Every Sunday, they also feature a Soul Food menu that's available in an eat-all-you-can buffet or for take-out.

Their patrons particularly liked the variety of excellent food and great customer service.

Brooke Coleman knew she wanted to do something different from what any other restaurant was doing and her eatery has become one of the most sought after.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that an American musician, Jon Bon Jovi, has been bettering many lives with his wealth for years.

In 2006, it was reported that he started The Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation which helps with poverty alleviation.

The same foundation also helped open the JBJ Soul Kitchen, a restaurant where people in need are not charged for the food they eat.

While the first restaurant was launched in October 2011 around the Red Bank area in New Jersey, the second started operation in 2016 at Toms River.

One of the main aims of the humanitarian project is to deal with food insecurity in a very humane way. It should, however, be noted that paying customers are also welcomed to the kitchen.
