The federal government of Nigeria has entered into talks with the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and other pressure groups over the imminent nationwide strike.

The Nigerian Senate has urged the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) not to embark on its proposed strike over fuel subsidy removal as it could cripple the country.
