Boniface slams journalist over fitness

Super Eagles Victor Boniface gave a savage reply to a German journalist who raised concerns about his fitness level, Bulinews.

In a post on X, the 24-year-old said the journalist should not believe anything he sees on the internet. He said:

“Whatever you want to believe on the media, you can believe them, that’s not on me… I don’t care. If my body is not 100%, I will be in the hospital. I will not be here talking to you.”

Fan lashes out at Boniface

While some Nigerians hailed Victor Boniface for his response, one supporter identified as Monsieur Avril posted a dig on X.

He said the journalist provided the player an opportunity to inform the public of his injury status but turned himself into a comedian. He wrote:

"An opportunity to make a statement, but chose to be a banger boy.

Fans divided over Avril's comments

Some Nigerian football fans agreed with Avril's position, while others said Boniface is facing the trauma of rejection from AC Milan.

@GONDOANDY added:

"As simple as that. Boy doesn't know the impact of making a statement of clarity before the press."

@sammychrise said:

"You don’t know what he’s been through. He was rejected by Milan because of his medical, dealt with trauma, and faced fake rumors online.
