Spanish club Sevilla has mutually terminated Kelechi Iheanacho’s contract, and he is in line to reunite with his former manager in Scotland.

He was one of the three Nigerian players who joined the club that summer, alongside Chidera Ejuke and Akor Adams, both of whom are still with the club.
Senior man, as he is fondly referred to, failed to adapt at the club. He played 11 games and scored three goals, all of which came in the Copa del Rey.
He joined EFL Championship side Middlesbrough on loan in January and did not make an impact, scoring one goal and providing two assists in 15 games.
Sevilla terminate Iheanacho's contract
The European summer transfer window closed yesterday, and as other players were busy securing moves, permanent or temporary, Kelechi Iheanacho received some bad news.
Sevilla confirmed in an official statement that the club had reached a mutual agreement with Iheanacho to rescind his contract, thus becoming a free agent.

Iheanacho in talks to join Celtic
Sevilla had earlier confirmed that the Nigerian forward would move on after his loan at Middlesbrough, and after going through the summer without finding a club, they mutually parted ways.
According to Sky Sports, he is in negotiations with Scottish side Celtic to join the club and reunite with his former manager, Brendan Rodgers.
The discussions began before the deadline day, but were not completed. He will now join as a free agent for a chance to resuscitate his career.
Iheanacho scored 43 goals and provided 25 assists in 143 matches during his previous spell under Rodgers, and he hopes he can hit great form again.
