As noted by Sky Sports, Liverpool lead the Premier League table heading into the international break, with world champions Chelsea second and Arsenal in third.
Oliseh praises Arsenal despite loss
The match was cagey for most of the game before the Hungarian midfielder’s free kick, which was enough to seal the victory for the Reds.
Super Eagles legend Sunday Oliseh believes the Gunners looked the better side despite their defeat, even though Liverpool did the most important thing.
“I feel Arsenal looked the better side all round prior to conceding, though Liverpool managed the game better defensively and did the most important; Scored,” he wrote on his X page.
He also singled out attacking midfielders Florian Wirtz and Eberechi Eze for praise, despite the Gunners' new signing playing 20 minutes, but raised concern over Viktor Gyokeres.
“Eze for Arsenal and Wirtz for Liverpool are true big assets. Sadly, I cannot say the same for Viktor Gyökeres at the moment! I expected better,” he added.
Fans in the comments section disagreed with Oliseh, claiming they must have watched a different match as the Gunners were not close to his assessment.

Peter Schmeichel slams Arteta's tactics
Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel was unimpressed with the quality of football delivered by the two teams and blamed Arsenal for it.
Schmeichel claimed only one team was trying to play football, and that Arteta's brand of football was so annoying and his team could have been better if he had switched things up.
“It has not lived up to the expectations. You need two teams to give a good game of football, and there is only one team trying to play football, and that's Liverpool,” he said as quoted by Athlon Sports.
“I don't want to insult Arsenal, but their brand of football is so annoying to watch, it's designed to exploit opponents while waiting for set pieces.
“Arteta, let your team play football! Let them loose, let them be free! I am absolutely convinced that if Arteta does this, they will win more games.”
