Man United have not won the title since Ferguson left in 2013, whilst the situation is even worse for Arsenal.

Arsenal are currently on an impressive streak of four consecutive victories over United in the Premier League.

Predicted starting XI for Man United vs Arsenal

Goalkeeper – Andre Onana

According to Daily Express, Andre Onana is expected to return between the posts despite missing the entirety of pre-season with a hamstring injury.

His experience and ability to build play from the back will be crucial against Mikel Arteta’s pressing Arsenal side.

Defenders - Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, Luke Shaw

In defence, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Luke Shaw are tipped to form the back three.

Yoro has impressed with his physical development over the summer, while De Ligt appears to have edged Harry Maguire for a starting spot.

Shaw will provide balance on the left, with Lisandro Martinez still recovering from a knee injury sustained in February.

Midfielders - Amad, Casemiro, Fernandes, Dorgu

Amad is in line to start as the right-wing-back, having impressed in pre-season with his attacking flair.

On the opposite flank, 20-year-old Patrick Dorgu will look to make an early statement, bringing pace and width from the left after the departure of some key players in defence.

Casemiro is expected to anchor the midfield alongside Bruno Fernandes. While the Brazilian’s legs have been questioned, his leadership remains invaluable.

Fernandes will carry the creative burden, looking to feed United’s new-look attack. Amorim has hinted at the need for more athleticism in midfield, but for now, this pairing looks set to start.

Attackers - Mbeumo, Cunha, Sesko

Benjamin Sesko is likely to make his Premier League debut with Rasmus Hojlund out of Amorim’s plans and Joshua Zirkzee lacking match sharpness.

Supporting him will be summer signings Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha in dual No. 10 roles.

This trio represents the heart of Amorim’s attacking overhaul, with all three expected to bring directness that Manchester United lacked last season.
