- Kelechi Iheanacho scored the match-winner in Leicester City's 1-0 win over Southampton in the FA Cup semi finals
- The 24-year-old's second half strike was enough to propel the Foxes into the final for the first time in 52 years
- Brendan Rodgers men will now play Chelsea at the famous Wembley which would be their seventh meeting in the competition
Kelechi Iheanacho's goal shot Leicester City into the FA Cup finals following their 1-0 win over Southampton at the Wembley Stadium.
The Nigerian international continued his impressive scoring form for the Foxes as grabbed the only goal of the game in the second half.
It was a cagey affair at England's national stadium as chances were few and far between both sides in the opening 45 minutes.
The second half was much better as it took just one brilliant run down the right from Jamie Vardy to set up Iheanacho for the goal.
The Super Eagles forward's initial shot was blocked but on his second attempt he made no mistake with the finish in the 55th minute.
The game began to open up for Brendan Rodgers' men as Iheanacho showed some brilliant piece of individual skills to open up the attack for Leicester.
On the other hand, the Saints also had their moments in the game but failed to create a real threat at Kasper Schmeichel.
Substitute James Maddison had a glorious chance on goal as his right-footed shot went agonizingly wide and had Frazer Foster beaten.
In the end, the Foxes qualified for the FA Cup final for the first time in 52 years and will be facing Chelsea in the finals on May 15.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho was on target twice for Leicester City in their 3-2 Premier League defeat to West Ham United at the London Stadium.
The 24-year-old has now scored six goals in his last five EPL games for the Foxes while his tally in all competitions so far stands at 14 goals and five assists.
Iheanacho grabbed his first goal of the game in the 70th minute through a stunning shot from the edge of the 18-yard box.
