Atiku meets ADC coalition members

The coalition has adopted the ADC as a political party, and the previous national officers of the party, including its national chairman, Ralph Nwosu, stepped down for a new set of leaders from the coalition.

A former senate president, David Mark, was named as the interim national chairman, while erstwhile Osun state governor, Rauf Aregbesola, and a one-time sports and youth minister, Bolaji Abdullahi, were appointed as national secretary and spokesperson, respectively.

Amid moves to democratically sack President Tinubu, Atiku met with Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar and an ex-senator representing Bauchi Central, Halliru Jika. Air Marshal Abubakar is a former chief of air staff, appointed by now-late former President Muhammadu Buhari in July 2015, a role he served until 2021. Abubakar is married to Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, the pioneer humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development minister who served under Buhari.
