Soluade expressed that the police, despite the clearance, had disrupted the party's campaign procession in Sagamu.
"Campaign train was violently disrupted, canopies removed, chairs broken, musical instruments seized, and an armoured tank stationed to intimidate our candidate, leaders and supporters," Soluade explained
Soluade claimed that the Sagamu Divisional Police Officer, accompanied by the Area Commander, subsequently prevented Aregbesola, the party's South-West chairman, Rasaq Eyiowuawi, himself, and other senior party leaders from proceeding at Isale Oko, instructing them to return to Abeokuta.
“They gave the flimsy excuse that Governor Dapo Abiodun and his APC members were occupying every nook and cranny of the area, as if public space belongs to the ruling party!” Soluade said.
The party condemned the alleged bias as “shameful and undemocratic” and vowed to withstand all forms of intimidation.
“To the police, your loyalty should be to the Constitution, not politicians. ADC has come to stay.”Soluade declared.
The spokesperson of the Ogun State command of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP Omolola Odutola, in a WhatsApp conversation with Legit.ng, stated that the command has no idea of the allegations.

El-Rufai snubs ADC, endorses SDP candidate
Legit.ng previously reported that Nasir El-Rufai, the immediate past governor of Kaduna, has fueled speculations that he dumped the recently adopted coalition political platform, ADC, as he called on the people of Chikun/Kajuru federal constituency and Zaria Kewaye and Basawa state constituency to vote for the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
El-Rufai recently joined other opposition leaders, including former vice president Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi, and former governor of Rivers, Rotimi Amaechi, in adopting the ADC as their political platform ahead of the 2027 election.
However, in a dramatic turn, the former governor urged the people of Zaria and Chikun to vote for the SDP in the Saturday, August 16, by-election, a poll which was meant to test the opposition's strength ahead of the 2027 general election.
