Tinubu stresses grassroot mobilisation

The President hinted at forming a committee of senior party leaders and National Working Committee members to oversee a seamless registration process nationwide.

Tinubu said:
“More members are still coming. So, if we accommodate the congresses in December, that will be making room for those who are still coming.”
New APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, reinforced this strategy in a television interview, pledging to “do the legwork” to unite members and attract new supporters to strengthen the party’s dominance. “We have 23 governors, and we are still counting. Our job is to bring more,” he said.
N'Central promises six million votes
Already, the North Central APC Forum has promised to deliver six million votes for Tinubu’s re-election, citing appreciation for the return of the national chairmanship to the region.

“Our promise to deliver six million votes for the President is guaranteed,” said forum chairman, Saleh Zazzaga.
Other key pledges include Akwa Ibom’s target of 3.5 million votes, Edo’s promise of 2.5 million, Benue’s commitment of two million, and a combined 1.2 million from Oyo and Ekiti states.
APC leaders say these figures are achievable through expanded membership, mass mobilisation, and the growing wave of defections from rival parties.
To support these targets, states like Delta, Enugu, Ebonyi, Bayelsa, Ekiti and Akwa Ibom have rolled out online registration portals, allowing both new and old members to join from their homes.
In Delta, the process aims to absorb thousands of former PDP members following Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s recent defection.
Party officials in Bayelsa and Enugu say they await final directives from the APC’s national leadership before launching their own drives.
Meanwhile, Ekiti and Akwa Ibom have already begun mobilising local chapters and ward leaders to speed up registrations.
Ex-Buhari minister declares war on Tinubu
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that the former minister of Sports and Youth Development, Solomon Dalung, had declared that the 2027 general elections would not just be another electoral cycle but a full-blown confrontation between the Nigerian people and the current administration under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking during a recent interview on News Central, Dalung voiced strong dissatisfaction with the state of the nation, blaming the Tinubu-led government for deepening the hardship faced by ordinary citizens.
