The decision of the Appeal Court which was unanimously endorsed by the two other justices was read out by Justice Gabriel Kolawale.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Abuja was already witnessing the influx of PDP delegates from all over the country in preparation for the planned convention.

The party delegates who were apprehensive also expressed their optimism over the outcome of the court decision on the matter before it.

Some of the delegates had said that they were sure the ruling of the Appeal Court on the suspension of the national convention as demanded in a suit filed by the PDP suspended national chairman would favour the party.

It was also noticed that the podium which would be used have been mounted while decorations and banners have also been used to adorn the Eagle Square as of the morning of Friday, October 29.

Party leaders efforts in cautioning Secondus

Also, the chairman of the PDP's board of trustees Walid Jibril had earlier cautioned Secondus against making the party ungovernable for its members.

Jibril said the action exhibited by the suspended national chairman of the PDP is unacceptable and can be described as anti-party activities.

Also, some leaders of the party had earlier started some moves to prevail on Secondus to drop his suit against the PDP.

One of the members of the BoT who spoke on the matter said Secondus as a former PDP national chairman is seen as a member of the board of trustees and should not be found engaging in anti-party activities.

The BoT member warned Secondus not to continue towing this path so that he (Secondus) does not become an outcast in the PDP.
