“Over the weekend, my daughter and I got invited to meet up for lunch with her dad. She’s been with me all summer, and she's been missing him like cr@zy. So we planned a little family day. Matching shirts and all, just like old times.

“We were so excited but as we headed out the door, my husband hopped up like he was coming with us. I had to respectfully let him know this ain't his lane & he could sit it back down. It's been a while since the 3 of us sat down together & he was not about to ruin it. Plus, we didn't need him to pay because her dad was covering the bill. His role is stepdad so step when asked, not when he feels like it.
