K.B. Makinde, a Lagos State University law graduate, set social media alight on 20 August 2026 after sharing her remarkable academic results on X, revealing she finished her legal studies with a 4.49 CGPA and a Second Class Upper Division degree.

In her post, Makinde formally reintroduced herself with her full academic credentials, announcing that she had been named the Best Female Graduating Student in the Faculty of Law at LASU for the Class of 2025. She also finished as the Second Best Graduating Student in the faculty overall, a double honour that quickly drew widespread attention online, with the post gathering over 127,000 views.

Second-class graduate shares experience in LASU

Graduating with an LL.B. (Hons.) at Second Class Upper level is a significant achievement in any Nigerian university, but the additional recognition from the faculty made Makinde's result stand out. A 4.49 CGPA places her at the very top of her class, reflecting years of consistent academic effort throughout a demanding law programme.
