Man laments over land grabbing in Benin
The man, who owns a factory on Sapele Road, discovered that a stranger had begun constructing a building directly behind his fence, under a power line.
Identified as @Mcbrightboe on TikTok, he shared a video of the uncompleted structure, showing the alleged encroachment on his property.
According to him, the stranger had initially begun building on the fence without any objections from him, in the hope that the issue would be resolved amicably.
However, the situation escalated when the stranger extended the structure with blocks and threatened to take him to court.
The property owner is now appealing to the relevant authorities to intervene and address the matter, emphasising concerns over safety and property rights.
He showed the structure, which appeared to be situated in a precarious location, directly under a power line.

In his words:
"Benin and land grabbing na 5 and 6. The oppression in this Benin is something else o. Back of somebody's fence. Somebody came to the back of my factory and put a structure here. If you look at this structure very well, it's on the fence. We didn't say anything, we left it like that because we're peaceful people.
