A Nigerian lawyer cried out as his car’s engine got knocked out due to the heavy rainfall in Lagos.

He showed a video of how his car got submerged and stuck in the flood during a downpour.

In a post by @omonilelawyer on Instagram, the man narrated how he got injured while trying to navigate the floods.

The lawyer also opened up on the price for a new tokunbo engine for his car after the current one got knocked.

He said:

“How Lagos Flood finished my car and knocked the engine completely. Watch the slides to the end. This happened at Gbagada road linking the 3rd Mainland bridge opposite Burger King. The flood was so much that when I came down from the Car, the water was almost by my neck.
“I was literally swimming to cross the road and falling into different deep gutters because the floor covered the gutters. I was lucky not to get drowned but got injured in the process. To push the car out of the flood, the Agberos collected ₦20,000 from me despite all the begging.

“They showed Zero Sympathy and said its the only way they can see money to eat, and their prayers have been answered. The towing vehicles made serious money towing numerous cars. I spent ₦95,000 to tow the car back home and this is with serious begging and haggling. Mechanic checked the car and confirmed that the Engine has Knocked.
“I Inquired about a new Tokunbo Engine and I was told between ₦1.8million to ₦2.5million. I am in tears!!! Which kin wahala be this?”

I deal on cars. Nothing is wrong with your engine bro. Just let the water dry. Drain all the engine oil. Put a black oil and start the engine for a while before replacing with a new oil and filter…. What you should be worried about is electrical problems….
