The conversation was shared on Instagram by @naijafashiondesigners, where the client expressed her admiration for Chioma's wedding gown and requested the designer to replicate it.
The client said:
"Hi Adeife. So the thing is, I have been thinking? Yeah, since you create new wedding dresses on rentals, so I don't know. I want you, I don't know if you can recreate Chioma's wedding dress for the N120k package. I love that dress a lot, and I don't know if it's going to be possible, but I trust you to make it. I trust you to make it possible. Do you understand? Like I really, really love that dress, and I know you can recreate something beautiful as that as well. So let me just know your response, thank you very much."
However, the designer responded with a sarcastic remark "o fe spaghetti" before forwarding the contact information of the actual designer behind Chioma's wedding dress, Alonuko Bridal.

Reactions trail fashion designer's conversation with customer
Some Nigerians criticised the fashion designer for her response to the client's enquiry.
Mo_chael said:
"She said I don’t know, she said let me know if it’s possible. A more professional way to respond would have been something like: ‘Oh, that exact look isn’t possible, but we can recreate something similar. It just won’t be exactly like Chioma’s because of the fabric quality.’ It’s quite disappointing how people think everything is content instead of focusing on proper communication."

"120k can replicate it sha. Buy 3 yards of cord lace and sew it for her. Did she say it must be the same lace."

"I think the style is doable "for 120k but maybe with another lace."

"Remind me never to contact a designer or tailors who would ridicule her customers on the gram!!!! She didn't say use the same fabric na. Just explain that she cant get it with the price. Offer her Chantilly lace without beads or reject the job!"
Sahareraa added:
"Some of you think being rude is woke, look how you posted this online feeling very proud. You could have been professional by saying “I can’t recreate the exact look for that amount, but I can do something similar“. Because that lady obviously had some faith in you. Some of you really need some sense abeg."
