A video of a young man breaking down in tears after escorting his girlfriend to a bus station has gone viral online, eliciting mixed reactions from netizens.

The video, which was reposted on Facebook by a user named Gabsmwanix, showed the young man struggling to hold back his emotions as he bids farewell to his better half.

According to the caption, the girlfriend was leaving him for work and he felt so emotional about it.

Tears of love

In the clip, the young man was seen waving at the young lady as she boarded a green bus.

He then started wiping his eyes with his hands, trying to fight the tears.

The lady, sensing his distress, got off the bus and hugged him one more time, whispering some words of comfort to him.

She then returned to the bus, leaving the young man alone. Unable to contain his feelings, the man walked to a nearby shade and cried his heart out.

"I felt so emotional while she was leaving me for work," read the caption in the clip.

The video has sparked a lot of reactions from social media users.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that a Nigerian man identified as @cashjunior2 on TikTok shared a heartbreaking video via his official account.

Cashjunior lamented in the clip that he didn’t know break-up was a tough thing to go through.
