He’s Looking for Xmas Money: Gateman Arrested While Trying to Sell Boss’ N3m Toyota Car for N350k, Many React

  • A gateman, Godswill Ezekiel Ugbe, employed to secure a building and the cars in it wanted to sell one of the vehicles

A gateman, Godswill Ezekiel Ugbe, has been arrested for trying to sell his employer's car for peanuts in Calabar. He was caught by the operatives of Cross Rivers state police command.

The man was apprehended by the command's anti-kidnapping squad while he was driving the said car to a buyer's place.

Police intelligence gathering

Vanguard reports that the Toyota Camry car with plate number, KT114LH, was recovered through intelligence gathered by the police.

While the operatives were on patrol along Atimbo Akpabuyo road, they sighted the car. When they approached, the driver sped off, making the police chase him.

According to the police relations officer in the state, DSP Irene Ugbo, the man was arrested on Tuesday, November 30, and his employer lives abroad.

Ugbe confessed to the crime

The suspect was employed to safeguard the man’s building and the cars inside. He later decided to sell one of the vehicles.

The police boss who revealed that Ezekiel was trying to sell the car for N350,000 said that he has confessed to the crime and would be taken to court very soon.

Man impersonated EFCC

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested a man, Ladeji Kelvin Babatunde, who reportedly impersonated the agency for his selfish interest.

In a press release by the Commission on its official Instagram page, it revealed that Babatunde reportedly defrauded yahoo boys (internet fraudsters) of more than N38 million.

People have since reacted to the photo of the man posted by the commission on its Instagram account.
