12 Regular Course: Police Announce Date for Recruitment Screening, List Important Documents

  • Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano, has announced when it would begin screening for its 12th Regular Course candidates
  • The Academy released a batch-by-batch schedule for states, with Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, and Bauchi first, and Yobe and Zamfara last
  • Candidates must present required documents, dress in white T-shirts, shorts, socks, and canvas shoes, and follow official instructions to avoid disqualification

Kano state - Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, announced that screening for its 12th Regular Course candidates would begin on 6 October 2025.

It will include a computer-based test (CBT), physical features test, medical screening, and interview by the selection board, Registrar of the Academy, Barrister Ekpere Fidelis Ezeugwu stated.

Police: Screening schedule announced

Signed by Barrister Ezeugwu, the notice reaffirmed the Academy’s commitment to a transparent and credible selection process.

The Police Academy explained that the screening would be conducted in batches, with different states assigned to specific dates.

“For instance, Batch 1, which includes Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, and Bauchi States, is scheduled for 6 October, while Batch 10, covering Yobe and Zamfara States, will hold on 15 October,” the Registrar stated.

Police lists documents required for screening

Applicants should provide originals and photocopies of essential documents. They are:

  1. Primary School Leaving Certificate
  2. SSCE certificates (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB)
  3. JAMB slip of result
  4. Birth certificate or age declaration certificate
  5. LGA indigene certificate
  6. Identification letter
  7. Guarantor's form (completed and signed)
  8. Medical fitness report from government hospital
  9. NIN slip
  10. Four passport photographs
  11. Application acknowledgement slip (to be printed from the admission portal)

The Registrar also instructed that the candidates should all appear in white T-shirts, white shorts, white socks, and white canvas shoes.

“Anyone who fails to dress accordingly may not be allowed into the screening venue,” Ezeugwu warned.

The Academy cautioned candidates against arriving on dates not assigned to their states.

"Please note that candidates will not be attended to before or after the date mentioned against their state of origin," the statement added.
Candidates have also been instructed to access the admission website of the Academy for information and to be cautious of fake social media sites imitating the Nigeria Police Academy.

Navy begins 2025 recruitment

PReviously, Legit.ng reported that the Nigerian Navy has announced the commencement of its Basic Training School Batch 38 recruitment exercise, calling on eligible Nigerians to apply online.

According to a statement released by the Navy Secretary, the application process is free of charge. Navy stressed that only Nigerian citizens by birth with a National Identification Number (NIN) are eligible to apply.

Applicants must also be medically, psychologically, and physically fit, and free from any criminal convictions. The age and academic requirements vary depending on the category of application. For instance, O’Level/SSCE holders must be between 18 and 22 years by 31 December 2025, with a minimum of five credits, including English and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
