Nigerian Governor Approves Sale of 1,000 Housing Units to Civil Servants

Yola Adamawa state - Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri-led Adamawa State Government has approved the sale of 1,000 housing units for civil servants.

The housing units are located at the State Housing Estate, Malkohi, Yola South Local Government Area.

Governor Fintiri revived and completed the projects after years of abandonment due to inflation and economic setbacks

The Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon Abdullahi Adamu Prambe, described the development as a major breakthrough in addressing the housing needs of civil servants.

Prambe said the approved prices are ₦9,706,195.47 for two-bedroom flats and ₦11,708,194.59 for three-bedroom flats.

As reported by Premium Times, Prambe made this known at a press briefing in Yola on Thursday, September 25, 2025.

“The committee worked diligently to ensure transparency and fairness in the allocation process. Offer letters will be distributed soon to beneficiaries as directed by His Excellency.”

According to the commissioner, Governor Fintiri approved new facilities beyond the original master plan.

He said the new facilities include perimeter fencing of the estate, security outposts and a barracks, and modern drainage systems.

Prambe said the project is proof of the administration’s commitment to improving welfare.

He extended gratitude to Governor Fintiri on behalf of Adamawa people.

Managing Director of the Adamawa State Mortgage Bank, Dauda Mohammed Galadima, revealed that funding support is being sought from the Family Homes Fund and the Federal Mortgage Bank.

Dauda said the arrangement will allow workers to domicile salaries with the bank and make flexible monthly payments.

Adamawa govt lists Fintiri's achievements

Recall that the Adamawa state government lashed out at the APC-led criticism against Governor Fintiri’s administration.

Governor Fintiri’s aide, Miracle Musa, said the governor deserves commendation and not condemnation for his outstanding performance.

Musa listed Governor Fintiri's achievements in healthcare delivery, education, manpower, and infrastructural development, among others.
