He said:

"We know the YPP candidate, Sir Paul Chukwuma, through one of his brothers, who is our very good friend. He has been very friendly to the Hausa community. He has very kind heart, and also generous. We believe that Paul Chukwuma will be of the same character and disposition as his brother.
"Besides, we've heard and seen much about Sir Paul Chukwuma through his numerous activities, advocacies and programs. From what we've seen and heard, we need no fortune-teller to notify us the stuff he is made of.
"The incumbent governor, Charles Soludo, has done his best; but his best is not enough to deliver the Dubai/Taiwan state he promised. In YPP's Paul Chukwuma, we see the disposition to serve, the tendency to offer quality dividends of democracy, and the blueprint to achieve the Dubai/Taiwan model state."

Earlier in his speech during the rally, Alhaji Umoru promised that he and other leaders of Hausa community in Oyi would kickstart door-to-door sensitisation of their people in the area to ensure that they realise their set objective, which was to support Paul Chukwuma wholeheartedly.
