Ikeja-Alausa, Lagos - Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has invited the Department of State Security (DSS) to join the investigative team working to unearth the mysterious demise of late Nigerian rapper Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (aka MohBad).
This development was confirmed via a statement released by the chief press secretary to the Lagos State governor, Gbenga Omotoso, on Tuesday, September 19.

The statement reads:
"Following Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s directive, the Police in Lagos State have launched a major investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of the young star. A 19-man police panel has been asked to unravel the mystery of the musician’s death.

"Further to this and to boost the investigation, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has invited the Department of State Services (DSS) to join the investigation and widen the dragnet with interagency- collaboration and use of best-in-class technology to unearth the truth."
Sanwo-Olu commiserate with Mohbad's family
The Lagos State government has appealed to the general public, families and close associates of the deceased not to hesitate to divulge any helpful information to help the ongoing investigation.
Similarly, the investigative team have been urged to conceal the identity of witnesses that might be helpful during the investigative process.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State government once again extended its condolence to the family and fans of the deceased, noting that the killers of Mohbad would be apprehended and made to face the wrath of the law.

In another development, the Lagos state police recently held a press conference following the death of singer Mohbad and cries for justice to prevail.
Trending videos from the press conference showed singer Mohbad's dad was also present.
The police revealed that everyone involved in Mohbad's case would be questioned, stirring reactions among many Nigerian music lovers.
