A message has been sent to Nigerians. The message was sent by Rev Emmanuel Bolanle Gbonigi.

Gbonigi, he 91 year old Retired Anglican Bishop of Akure Diocese, in Ondo state, Rev Emmanuel Bolanle Gbonigi, weekend, adduced reasons why the next president must come from thesaid the time has come for a southeaster not govern Nigeria

He made this known in a statement in Akure, the Ondo state capital, Vanguard Newspaper reports.

“The most relevant of these attributes to our topic of where our next president should come from is justice. God is God of justice.
“Therefore, God certainly wills that every part of our country Nigeria should have the joy of seeing one of them serving as President of our country.
“The one and only geopolitical area of our country that has not enjoyed this gift of God is the southeast geographical zone."

Using Yoruba proverbs to emphasise his views, he insisted that it makes more sense to allow the southeast to govern the country because the country belongs to all Nigerians and no side should be left out.

“The Yorubas say it’s the food shared by all in a party that’s sweet: “ ajoje ni undun”. They also say you eat and I eat makes the food palatable: “ je ki unje n’dun”.

“Another Yoruba saying is that a well fed dog cannot play as a friend with a hungry one: “Aja ti o yo kii ba eyi ti ko yo sere”. So, we see that the Yorubas carry the will of God their Creator in their culture and tradition. I am sure that the other tribes or nations of Nigeria also do.
” l appeal to you my fellow Nigerians, whatever is your profession or occupation: teachers, farmers, civil servants, politicians or others to please reflect the attributes of God."

Buhari's govt finally completes Second Niger Bridge

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that the federal government on Wednesday, October 19, announced that the construction of the 2nd Niger bridge has been completed and will soon be ready for use.

This was announced by the minister of works and housing, Babatunde Fashola, during a press conference on President Muhammadu Buhari's achievements.

Fashola also disclosed that the bridge will be opened to the public for use in no time.
