Video Shows Moment Sanwo-Olu’s Representative Was Booed at The Experience 2021, Pastor Adefarasin Apologises

  • The official did not get the welcome he expected as he was booed on stage by the crowd while giving his speech
  • Displeased with the crowd’s behaviour, Pastor Adefarasin apologised to the Lagos state government and cautioned the youths to pray for their leaders

A representative of the governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was on Friday night, December 3, booed by participants at the 2021 Experience concert organised by the House on the Rock Church.

Trending videos showed the moment the youths at the concert pointed their thumb downwards as the official gave his speech at the Rock Cathedral in Lekki Lagos, PM News reports.

As the representative tried to pass across his message, the crowd did not let him as they made different sounds to show their disapproval.

Pastor Adefarasin tenders apology

The senior pastor of House on the Rock Church and convener of the yearly worship concert, Paul Adefarasin, later intervened and apologised to the Lagos state government.

He chided the youths for their behaviour which he described as unscriptural. According to him, they should pray for the leader instead.

Adefarasin stated:

“You must never disrespect authority because they beat the sword.
“I apologise to the leaders of Lagos state on your behalf."

Lagos governor under fire

Governor Sanwo-Olu of Lagos is having a hard time getting youths in the state to his side after the #EndSARS incidents.

Sanwo-Olu further fell into the bad book of some youths after his government insisted there was no massacre at Lekki Toll Gate on October 20, 2020.

He called on several of the #EndSARS campaigners to join him in a walk for peace which is to hold in December.

This has fetched him more backlash as the youths are not willing to accept this.

Activist Rinu Oduala has joined the number of voices rejecting Sanwo-Olu’s offer to the youths in Lagos state to join him for a peace walk.

Earlier, two other prominent #EndSARS campaigners, artiste Folarin Falana known as Falz and comedian Debo Adedayo also known as Mr Macaroni also rejected the offer.
