Confusion as Kano Residents Find Married Man, Bride-To-Be Dead Inside Car

  • A nightclub owner, Steven Ayika, has been found dead on Kastina Road, Fagge area of Kano metropolis
  • Ayika's body was found motionless alongside that of a bride-to-be, Chiamaka Emmanuel inside a tinted car parked in front of one of the deceased family house
  • The police in Kano state said the individuals were taken to a hospital and were confirmed dead by doctors

There was confusion in Fagge local government area of Kano state after residents found two people dead inside a car.

The individuals - a man identified as Steven Ayika, who is married with two children and Chiamaka Emmanuel, a bride-to-be, set to be married in December - were found dead along Katsina Road.

Daily Trust reports that the car in which Ayika and Chiamaka were found is tinted and was parked in front of Chiamaka's family house in the said area.

Eyewitnesses in the area said the car was locked from the inside with Ayika and Chiamaka's phones switched off.

A witness said Ayika and Chiamaka were in a compromising position when they were discovered by police officers in the area.

PM News also reports that Ayika, an indigene of Ebu in Delta state is the owner of a nightclub - Knight House.

Police confirm the death of Steven and Chiamaka

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Kano state police command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, a team of officers were deployed to the location immediately after a report was received on the matter.

Haruna said the individuals were rushed to a nearby hospital but were declared dead on arrival by the hospital.

Noting that investigation on the matter is still in progress, Haruna said the two individuals were found motionless inside the tinted car.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that an Imam, Mallam Abdurasshid, was found dead around the Kubwa area of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

The Imam's body was said to have been found in an uncompleted building in Kubwa after he went into the bush to fetch some firewood.

The divisional police officer in the area, however, said the matter is yet to be reported to the Nigeria police for action.

Also, kidnappers have attacked the Lagbeta community of Kogi state, killing one and abducting a family of six

The family members were said to have been harvesting some seeds on their farm when the kidnappers invaded the area.

A member of the family who tried to escape the incident was said to have been shot and killed on the spot.
