Kanayo explained that while he was grateful to God for his son’s successful service year, he could not ignore the pain of families mourning loved ones lost in the violence.
He said the bloodshed in the country made it difficult for him to celebrate fully.
“Please join me in thanking Chukwu Okike Abiama, The Almighty God, for my son, Clinton Onyekwere, Onyeze Mbaise, on completion of his NYSC. More to say, but the BLOODSHED in the LAND would not let me. I rejoice. Others mourn. Pathetically SAD. @clintonkanayo.”
The veteran actor's words captured the contrast between his personal happiness and national grief, which showed how even moments of family achievement are overshadowed by the tragic events affecting many Nigerians.
The post drew attention not only to his son’s milestone but also to the sorrow of those who lost their lives in Jos.
