Verydarkman Reacts to Pastor Jerry Eze’s ₦10.6 Billion YouTube Earnings: “Is He a Content Creator?

Nigerian social commentator Martins Otse aka Verydarkman has reacted to Pastor Jerry Eze’s recent YouTube earnings.

Legit.ng earlier reported that the founder of Streams of Joy International and convener of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declaration, an online digital prayer meeting, earned more than N10.6 billion on YouTube's video-sharing platform.

This makes him Nigeria’s highest-earning YouTuber for the second consecutive year.

According to Playboard, Mr. Eze, who also runs the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD) digital prayer network, expects 80 million viewers in 2025 alone.

The report claimed that the pastor, a former Communications Specialist with the World Bank, has made N1.94 million every day, N7.95 million in the last 24 hours, and N47.7 million in the last week.

Verydarkman reacts to Pastor Jerry’s earnings

The online activist noted that he has been called out for using his humanitarian content to earn via YouTube and other social media.

He attacked critics and equated his online presence with that of Pastor Eze, whose daily livestreamed prayer sessions on YouTube have reportedly generated ₦10.6 billion in earnings.

He further questioned whether the cleric was also a content creator like himself.

VDM made claims on how he had never used the money he had earned from online streams for personal tangible purposes.

Sharing his post, he wrote:

“Verydarkman is a content creator; are you also saying Pastor Jerry Eze is a content creator??? VDM is using people’s problems as content to get views and get paid. Will you say Pastor Jerry Eze is praying for people to get YouTube money and views to cash out? Huh.”

Legit.ng earlier reported that a Nigerian preacher, Pastor Jerry Uchechukwu Eze, found fame and fortune from leading prayers on YouTube.

His prayer videos, which are watched and followed by over a million viewers on the platform, earned him a reputation as one of the highest-earning YouTube creators in Nigeria.

Data from his YouTube channel shows that Eze amassed a whopping 1,300,000 subscribers.
