Actress Motunde Clears Air On Pregnancy Rumours With Mr Macaroni: "I Was Really Devastated"

Actress Omotunde Sogunle, popularly known as Motunde in Mr. Macaroni’s comedy skits, has broken her silence on a painful chapter in her career.

The actress revealed that she once battled a rumour so damaging that it nearly destroyed her peace of mind.

In a recent interview, Motunde recalled how she was falsely accused of being romantically involved with Mr. Macaroni.

To make matters worse, the gossip claimed she had gotten pregnant for him and later terminated the pregnancy.

Her words:

“They said I got pregnant for my on-screen daddy, Mr. Macaroni, and that I aborted the pregnancy. I was shocked. When did that happen? It is not possible. Must there be such a thing between people in a working relationship? I was really devastated then.”

The actress explained that the rumour cut deeply because of her close professional relationship with the comedian. But over time, she learned that addressing such falsehoods only keeps them alive.

The actress added:

“One of the things I have learned from Mr. Macaroni is to keep your silence for your own peace. The more you come out to counter false claims, the longer the matter drags and you will have to keep explaining.”

Mr Macaroni opens up on N500m debt

Legit.ng reported that Mr Macaroni, in April 2025, opened up about being in debt of over half a billion.

The skit maker had recently taken to his official Instagram page to tell Nigerians about how he found himself in debt of over N500 million due to his reckless financial decisions.

According to Mr Macaroni, sometime around 2021/ 2022, he fell victim to a scam and another failed investment that made him lose all his savings. The movie star said even though it was a great turning point in his life, he never mentioned his troubles to anybody because he believed that the show must go on.

Macaroni, known for tackling ills in society, said as a result of losing all of his savings, he started to borrow money from different sources to settle all of his pending commitments and carry out certain responsibilities he believed were his own to fulfil.

Mr Macaroni reacts to corps member's plight

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) trended on social media for hours after a serving corps member in Lagos state cried out over a threat she received following her online post about the rising costs of commodities in the country.

The corps member added that she has been receiving calls from various NYSC officials to desist from insulting the government and take down the video, which has since gone viral.

Skit maker and activist, Mr Macaroni, joined many Nigerians on social media in reacting to the drama.
