It is a painful time for popular Nollywood actor Ibrahim Chatta, who has announced the passing of his son.
The Yoruba movie star took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news, posting a photo of the deceased alongside a tribute.
In his short but emotional message, Chatta wrote:
"Inna liLlahi wa inna ileyhi rajiun. Ya Allah, You are the Knower of all things. Rest on Dear Son. Champ."

Legit.ng reported that veteran Yoruba actress Peju Ogunmola's only son passed on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Actress Biola Adebayo announced his death on Instagram.
Similarly, another Yoruba actress, Joke Jigan, had lost her sister, Lizzy.
She shared photos of herself and the deceased, questioning why death is everywhere as she contemplated logging off from social media. Mourning her sister, she told her to rest in peace.
Also, veteran actress Joke Silva lost his brother, John Olabiyi Silva.
The actress confirmed the heartbreaking news on August 29, 2025, via Instagram, where she posted his picture alongside a tribute.
